Cristiano Ronaldo speaks on talents of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal | OneFootball

Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo has this weekend provided his take on the talents of Spain and Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.

This of course comes ahead of the highly-anticipated upcoming showdown between the pair at the World Cup.

Spain and Portugal are primed to lock horns in Dallas on Monday evening. After the former made short work of Austria and the latter battled their way past Croatia in their respective Round-of-32 ties, they will go head-to-head for a place in the competition’s quarter-finals.

The fixture has already been billed by many as a meeting between the past and future of European football, owing to the presence of the aforementioned Cristiano Ronaldo and Lamine Yamal.

Speaking during a press conference on the eve of the matchup, veteran frontman Ronaldo was therefore drawn on the abilities of his prodigious upcoming opponent.

And the 41-year-old made use of the opportunity to praise Lamine, explaining:

“Lamine? He has a very bright future. I haven’t watched Spain’s matches, just a little against Cabo Verde. He’s doing really well; he has a bright future.”
