Cristiano Ronaldo is pushing to lure Casemiro to Al-Nassr instead of an MLS link-up with Lionel Messi, Marca reports.

The 34-year-old has been strongly linked with Inter Miami as his Manchester United contract winds down.

Ronaldo is said to see him as the defensive anchor to underpin Al-Nassr's bid for Saudi Pro League dominance. A Saudi package is expected to dwarf most other offers and would reunite him with a trusted ally.

Inter Miami remain an attractive alternative. Sir David Beckham’s franchise view him as a natural successor to Sergio Busquets and as an experienced pivot alongside Messi, a twist given their Clasico rivalry.

Casemiro has announced he will leave United this summer after joining from Real Madrid in summer 2022. In a farewell message, he said United will stay with him for life and that this is not a goodbye yet, with more memories to make over the next four months. He added that he remains fully focused on helping the club succeed.

He intends to concentrate on finishing the season strongly with the Red Devils before deciding his next move.
