The son of Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo was not shy in admitting that, as of this moment, Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal is a superior player to his father.

Wide-man Lamine is of course fresh off a spectacular campaign on Barcelona’s books in 2024/25.

Continuing to make a name for himself as a potential all-time talent, the 18-year-old dazzled from his berth on the right of the Blaugrana’s frontline.

Lamine racked up 43 direct goal contributions across all competitions, terrorising opposing full-backs along the way.

Many across the world of football are of the opinion that, despite his tender years, the Spanish international should already be considered one of, if not the best player on the globe.

And as alluded to above, early this week, weighing in Lamine’s abilities was none other than Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

During a live stream online, the suggestion that Barca’s wing prodigy is at present ‘better’ than his father was put to Ronaldo’s son.

And the latter went on to admit as much, albeit whilst also making clear that Lamine ‘hasn’t won anything yet’.

For reference, Lamine has to date won all of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, and European Championships.
