Crystal Palace have reportedly entered the race to sign Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, a key Leeds United target valued at more than £20m.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds submitted a £20m bid last weekend that was rejected, and view negotiations as ongoing as they seek an agreement for the Northern Ireland international.

Charles, 22, is primarily a deep-lying midfielder, but is comfortable pushing forward to create.
That interest would leave Leeds facing extra competition for the player.
Leeds remain keen and talks are continuing as they try to reach common ground.
