Crystal Palace Ready to Stun Everton with £45m Tyler Dibling Swoop

Crystal Palace are stepping up their summer recruitment drive with a bold £45 million move to hijack Everton’s move for Southampton’s Tyler Dibling, as reported by Give Me Sport. The 19-year-old winger has attracted widespread interest following a standout season in the Championship, and now looks set to be the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Palace and Everton.

With Eberechi Eze edging closer to a high-profile switch to Arsenal for a fee believed to be in the region of £68 million, manager Oliver Glasner is under pressure to bring in an attacking player capable of filling the void. Dibling, known for his flair and direct style of play, fits the bill.

Palace are reportedly ready to submit an offer worth £35 million up front, with additional clauses and incentives raising the potential package to £45 million. This move would see them match Southampton’s valuation, and crucially, leapfrog Everton in the process.

Dibling Emerges as Major Target

Everton have long tracked Dibling throughout the summer window, but their incremental bidding strategy has not borne fruit. According to Give Me Sport, “Everton have been pursuing the 19-year-old all summer, but have failed to reach his current employers’ valuation.” Southampton’s reluctance to lower their asking price has now opened the door for Palace to make a decisive move.

The south coast club are holding firm, determined to extract full value for one of their prized assets. Palace, recognising the urgency of the Eze situation, are looking to capitalise.

“Crystal Palace are zeroing in on Southampton’s talented teen Dibling and are prepared to match the asking price with an overall package worth £45m,” Give Me Sport revealed, marking a clear signal of intent from Selhurst Park.

Glasner Sets Out Vision for New-Look Attack

This latest development suggests Glasner has no intention of letting Eze’s departure derail the team’s momentum. With Palace showing signs of building an exciting, youthful squad, the addition of Dibling would provide both flair and potential resale value.

Glasner’s direct involvement underlines just how much the Palace hierarchy rates the teenager. As stated by Give Me Sport, “Eagles boss Oliver Glasner needs to bring in a replacement for Eberechi Eze,” and Dibling appears to be his top choice.

Transfer Showdown Could Shape Both Clubs’ Seasons

If Palace land Dibling ahead of Everton, it would be seen as a significant coup, both on and off the pitch. For the Toffees, under David Moyes, missing out on a priority target after months of negotiation would be a bitter blow.

But for Palace, it could mark a major step forward in their post-Eze evolution. It’s a statement of ambition, one that shows they’re not prepared to slide backward despite the loss of their talisman.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

From a Crystal Palace fan’s perspective, this is exactly the kind of move that reassures us the club are not standing still. Losing Eberechi Eze to Arsenal is a huge blow — no doubt — but replacing him with someone as exciting as Tyler Dibling helps soften it.

At just 19, Dibling has plenty of room to grow, but what he’s already showing at Championship level makes this feel like a very savvy investment. He carries the ball well, he’s fearless in one-on-one situations, and he has that eye for goal which Palace will badly need next season.

The fact that the club is willing to splash out £45m — and more importantly, quickly — sends a strong message. We’ve seen too many transfer windows drift with late panic buys, but this feels targeted and intentional.

Everton’s slow negotiation process may work in our favour. With Glasner clearly wanting to reshape the attack around youth and technical quality, Dibling could be at the heart of a new look Palace front line.

Let’s not pretend this is a guaranteed success, but it’s refreshing to see us back the manager, act decisively, and aim high. If this deal gets done, Palace fans should be genuinely excited about what’s to come.
