Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run at Selhurst Park to 11 Premier League games with a 2-0 victory over Brentford.

Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring in the 30th minute, glancing a header over Caoimhin Kelleher from Jefferson Lerma’s free-kick, before Brentford captain Nathan Collins inadvertently doubled the Eagles’ lead six minutes after the restart, deflecting a long Lerma throw into his own net.

Palace dominated proceedings despite ceding possession at times, creating multiple chances with Ismaïla Sarr and Daichi Kamada both going close.

The Bees struggled to test Dean Henderson, with their only notable openings coming from Reiss Nelson and Vitaly Janelt, both kept out by the goalkeeper.

The win moves Palace up to seventh, while Brentford remain 12th, still searching for consistency on the road.
