Premier League side Crystal Palace are reportedly turning to Chelsea as they look to replace defender Marc Guehi today.

Today is the summer transfer window deadline day, with clubs having until 7pm tonight to get their deal sheets in to sign new players. So we are about to embark on another very busy day in the market, and expect a bit of Chelsea involvement.

We have the striker situation going on of course, with that being the most talked about story right now.

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Sunderland to recall striker Marc Guiu to cover the hamstring injury that Liam Delap picked up on Saturday afternoon. Delap was expected to be out for around 6-8 weeks but actually, reports have suggested it could even be longer than this pending a scan this week.

So Chelsea certainly needed another striker to come in and replace Delap for now, and that looks like it is going to be Guiu. But Nicolas Jackson is also still a Chelsea player after the club cancelled his move Bayern Munich yesterday. So we have no idea what is going on here at this point. Maybe he goes to Newcastle because it looks like Liverpool are finally about to sign their striker, Alexander Isak.

And it is Liverpool we are speaking about on this main story as well.

Disasi to replace Guehi?

As well as Isak, Liverpool look set to sign defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace today, and this might create a knock-on effect involving Chelsea as well.

According to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace are considering a move for Axel Disasi as they continue to work on a potential replacement for Marc Guehi.
