Former Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil has joined Rangers as a free agent, according to the Glasgow club.
Rangers manager Derek McInnes is building his Light Blues squad for next season and Neil has moved to the Ibrox club.
The former Black Cats star has joined the Scottish Premiership club ahead of others after undergoing his medical with the Bears in recent hours.
An agreement has been finalised after Rangers pipped competition to the 24-year-old, with all formalities concluded.
Neil was in talks with Southampton last week and it appeared he was going to join the English Championship club. Rangers have signed keeper Ivor Pandur from Hull City in a £6 million deal and Neil has followed.
Hull and West Ham United were also keen on him, but it is the Bears who have landed him.
Neil spent the second-half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town, making 16 Championship appearances to help them secure Premier League promotion.
He brings plenty of experience and quality to the table and could prove to be a huge addition as McInnes looks to challenge for the title next season after replacing Danny Rohl.
More signings will be needed if Rangers are to have a realistic chance of winning the Premiership anytime soon, and the fans will be eager to know what the board have up their sleeves.
