Dani Raba’s Valencia fortunes have flipped within a year. He has gone from first signing for 2025/26 to topping the transfer list with Baptiste Santamaría and Cenk Özkacar, back from a loan at Colonia.

Raba’s representatives expect limited minutes under Carlos Corberán next season and have spent weeks seeking him a LaLiga move, according to Superdeporte. There is no firm interest, underlining a stalled exit plan.

In pre-season he impressed, scoring and standing out in the 3-0 Trofeu Taronja win over Torino.

He began LaLiga in Corberán’s XI, starting the first two games. Against Real Sociedad he assisted Diego López for the opener, and Kubo levelled on 60.

José Gayà was sent off on 22 minutes at Osasuna, Jesús Vázquez came on and Raba was withdrawn.

After that he slipped down the order. He played the final half-hour in the 3-0 win over Getafe and had only one more league start, against Athletic, departing on 64 for Largie Ramazani.

He was later left out for Getafe and Betis and played only 16 minutes across Alavés and Atlético de Madrid. In total he logged 13 LaLiga games, three starts and 264 minutes, plus 233 in the Copa del Rey.

With one year left on his deal, he now fronts Corberán’s discard list. The plan is for a mobile striker to add goals that neither Raba nor Danjuma supplied.
