David Datro Fofana will continue his season in France. Back at Chelsea, the 23-year-old Ivorian striker is set to join RC Strasbourg on loan, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. The deal is already in place and an official announcement is imminent.

Several clubs had shown interest in the player, including Celtic, Auxerre, Royal Antwerp, Derby County, and Mallorca. Chelsea ultimately chose Strasbourg, a partner club, as the best place for him to continue his development. The London club still believes in Fofana's potential and hopes he will rediscover his best form in Ligue 1.

Since joining Chelsea from Molde in 2023 for €12 million, Fofana has had several loan spells. He has played for Union Berlin, Burnley, Göztepe and Fatih Karagümrük, where he scored 8 goals in 15 matches.
