A BALANCED FIRST HALF

The match had a high-intensity start, and the first chance fell to the hosts with Hien's header, but Di Gregorio was able to save it. Juventus responded immediately with impressive runs from Thuram and Yildiz. In the 21st minute, the most dangerous attack of the first half saw Yildiz and David combine to create a chance for Koopmeiners, but Carnesecchi produced a fine save.

Tudor's team continued to push and in the 26th minute, Yildiz came up with a moment of magic as he cut in from the right and produced a shot which was again saved by Carnesecchi. In the final minutes of the half, it was Bremer who blocked a dangerous shot from Maldini, ensuring the first half ended 0-0.

JUVENTUS PUSH ON IN THE SECOND HALF

In the 47th minute, David latched on to a pass in the box but failed to find the right shot, while shortly afterwards, Yildiz again forced Carnesecchi into an important save. Atalanta tried to respond with Scamacca, but Gatti was up to the task of stopping him.

The Bianconeri's first goal came in the 73rd minute and it was a special moment for David. A splendid acrobatic finish from the Canadian, who reacted quickly to an aerial ball in the box and produced a bicycle kick from close range.

Tudor made a host of substitutions straight after the goal and almost immediately, Vlahovic made it 2-0. In the 77th minute, the Serbian, put through by Joao Mario, finished calmly past Carnesecchi and doubled the lead. In the final minutes, Atalanta got a goal back thanks to Samardzic.

Stoppage time was carefully managed by the Bianconeri, who held out until the final whistle. Juventus secured a 2-1 win in Bergamo, won the Bortolotti Trophy and closed their pre-season campaign with a positive result.
