De La Cruz left out as Flamengo name squad for Botafogo clash | OneFootball

Flamengo have named their squad for the Botafogo clash, with De La Cruz left out on medical advice.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the sides meet at Estádio Nilton Santos, Engenhão, on Saturday 14 March at 20:30 Brasília time in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The Flamengo squad comprises: Alex Sandro, Andrew, Ayrton Lucas, Carrascal, Danilo, Arrascaeta, Dyogo Alves, Emerson Royal, Erick Pulgar, Everton Cebolinha, Evertton Araújo, Guillermo Varela, Jorginho, Luiz Araújo, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, Pedro, Plata, Rossi, Samuel Lino, Vitão and Wallace Yan.

Head coach Leonardo Jardim has three absentees. Saúl Ñíguez remains out as he recovers from surgery on his left ankle, while Bruno Henrique is sidelined with pubalgia.

De La Cruz was not selected after the club’s medical department advised he should not play on synthetic surfaces due to a knee issue.

Flamengo are sixth on seven points, with Botafogo 17th on three ahead of kick-off.
