Decisive figure carries Le Havre past Toulouse | OneFootball

Issa Soumaré changed it in the 43rd minute with a low strike from range, setting Le Havre on their way to a 2-1 win over Toulouse.

Soumaré's opener came on a fast break, the forward cutting across the top of the box before drilling into the bottom left corner. It punctured Toulouse's pressure and gave the hosts a platform to counter.

After the restart he struck again (53.), arriving centrally to steer into the bottom right after Sofiane Boufal released him on another rapid transition.

He finished with two attempts, both on target and both scored. The Senegal international also put in the hard yards out of possession, winning fourteen duels for Le Havre, including eight in the air, and making five clearances.

Because the hosts were down to ten early, his direct running and willingness to contest long balls continually turned defence into counter-attacks, keeping Toulouse stretched and unable to settle.
