Hayden Hackney created the opener in the 30th minute with a through ball, as Middlesbrough beat Queens Park Rangers 3-1.
Hackney slid the pass that released David Strelec to finish low into the corner (30.). He then tested Paul Nardi with a skidding effort from the right side (34.).
After the restart, he kept Boro on the front foot, switching play and feeding runners into the box as the hosts pressed for control.
He finished with four key passes, four accurate crosses and 21 successful final third passes, plus three attempts with two on target, underlining how he directed the game's tempo.
His range of passing and crossing repeatedly moved Queens Park Rangers around and sustained attacks during the key phases.
Boro remain second in the Championship and visit Bristol City next, while Queens Park Rangers host Leicester.
