Dennis selected for England Under-19 duty | OneFootball

Araya Dennis has been called up to the England Under-19 squad for their international fixtures in the Algarve Cup in October.

Head Coach Lauren Smith named her 24-player squad for their fixtures against Norway and Netherlands in the opening fixtured of the Algarve Cup competition.

The 18-year-old, who signed a professional contract with us in February, 2024, before spending the rest of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, made her debut in our colours earlier this month, coming on as a second half substitute in the 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic in the Women’s League Cup.

Araya was part of the Young Lionesses squad that featured at the UEFA Women’s European Under-19 Championship finals back in May, making two appearances in the competition as England were knocked out by Spain in the semi-finals.

Smith’s side will begin their Algarve Cup campaign against Netherlands on Friday 25 October (12pm UK) before facing Norway three days later (12pm UK).
