Deportivo Alavés sealed a return to Primera División after three years with a 0-4 win at CE Europa. The Gloriosas dominated from the start, the hosts finished a player down, and the result also confirmed Europa’s relegation.

With two games left, Alavés have 52 points from 16 wins, four draws and four defeats, Villarreal CF are the only side to beat them twice. They are second-top scorers with 42 and boast the league’s best defence with 14 conceded. According to Superdeporte, the club will mark promotion next week at the official store, where the squad will sign autographs.

Nayadet López, a Chile international, adds another promotion after 2019/20 with Santa Teresa. The midfielder has 1,882 league minutes under Andrea Esteban from 21 games, 19 starts, and scored the winner against CD Tenerife B.

Raquel Gil joined from Valencia B in 2024. She has 17 appearances, four starts and had 538 minutes before Nou Sardenya, scoring two key goals, the 1-0 winner over CA Osasuna and the opener in the draw with Valencia CF.

After relegation in 2023/24, Alavés’ first year in Primera Federación ended ninth. They later finished second on 56 points, behind Alhama CF ElPozo on head-to-head, and lost their playoff semi-final to CP Cacereño, 2-2 then 1-2.

Valencia, coached by Mikel Crespo, are third on 40 points in a tight playoff race with Villarreal, Osasuna and Alba Fundación. They host Atlético de Madrid B at 12:00 on Sunday at Antonio Puchades, a key test to protect their position.
