Deportivo ‘one step away’ from deal for AS Roma star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Deportivo La Coruña are all set to tie up a deal for a member of the defensive ranks at Serie A heavyweights AS Roma.

The player primed to take his talents to Galicia with a view to the season ahead? Angeliño.

The name of defender Angeliño will of course be a familiar one to close followers of European football. Now 29, the Spaniard has taken to the pitch in the colours of the likes of Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Galatasaray and, most recently, the aforementioned Roma.

This past season, he struggled badly for game time, en route to just five league starts, and nine appearances across all competitions.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Angeliño preparing to test his talents with yet another new club for the 2026/27 campaign.

As per a report from transfer market insider Matteo Moretto:

‘Deportivo are one step away from Angeliño, from Roma. He would arrive on loan with a purchase option. Just a few small details remain between the clubs.’
