Michael Olise’s future continues to be a hot topic of conversation. Although the FC Bayern attacking star is reportedly leaning toward a move to Real Madrid, skepticism is apparently growing even within the club itself that a transfer this summer is actually feasible.

Reports surrounding Michael Olise have been coming thick and fast for days. French media outlets such as L’Équipe recently reported that the 24-year-old is open to a move to Real Madrid and is said to have expressed this desire within the French national team as well. BILD has also confirmed that Olise is, in principle, open to a move—though he has not yet officially submitted a transfer request to FC Bayern.

At Säbener Straße, however, the stance remains clear: The Munich club does not want to sell its key player, regardless of the amount of any potential offer.

Real sees little chance

As reported by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, even Real Madrid no longer seriously expects to sign the Bayern star. According to the report, a transfer is internally deemed “virtually impossible.”

President Florentino Pérez is said to be prepared to make a move should a realistic opportunity unexpectedly arise. However, according to the report, this scenario is currently considered extremely unlikely.

This confirms once again just how difficult a transfer of the French international would be. Olise is under contract with FC Bayern through 2029, and there is no buyout clause.

Bayern is focusing on personal discussions

Despite Munich’s clear stance, the situation remains intriguing. After the World Cup concludes, club officials plan to seek direct talks with Olise. The record champions had actually been aiming for an early contract extension with the attacking player. Whether this plan is still realistic in light of recent developments remains to be seen.

One thing is certain, however: FC Bayern continues to count on Olise and has no intention of letting him go.

The coming weeks are therefore likely to be decisive. Should Olise once again reaffirm his desire to leave internally, intensive talks between the player and the club would likely be unavoidable.

As things stand, however, there are many indications that the Munich club will stand firm—and even Real Madrid apparently no longer believes it can sign the Frenchman this summer.
