Serie A side Roma are pushing for an attacking signing and it come in the form of Mason Greenwood, who is set to leave Marseille.

Roma want to close the deal by as early as June. They have sensed competition and do not want to be caught in an auction.

Money matters

Roma will not offer the €55 million Marseille are asking for as they consider the demand excessive. The Friedkins are currently formulating a proposal to present to the French club. The Giallorossi intend to offer €40 million plus bonuses and a percentage of the player’s future resale.

It would not be a permanent transfer, but a loan deal worth €5 million with an obligation to buy set at €25 million and a €10 million bonus for his first appearance.

Roma should make offer soon

Greenwood’s performances at Marseille mean that his reputation has grown again. While his signing has the obvious elephant in the room, his relentless approach to the game could suit Gian Piero Gasperini’s system.
