Omar Marmoush (25) has likely played his last game for Eintracht Frankfurt. Per BILD, the Egyptian forward isn’t in the club’s squad to face Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga tonight with a move to Manchester City looming.

As exclusively reported by Patrick Berger, Marmoush will earn around €16m gross per year, €10m net at Manchester City, a significant increase on the player’s €2m salary at Eintracht.

This latest news comes just hours after the Athletic reported that Manchester City had reached a verbal agreement to sign Marmoush, who has scored 15 and created 10 in 17 Bundesliga games this season. Berger further adds that the deal is on the verge of completion, with City paying €80m including bonuses to sign the attacker.

Omar Marmoush sale highlights Eintracht Frankfurt’s excellent recruitment team

After Sébastien Haller (€50m), Luka Jović (€63m) and Randal Kolo Muani (€95m), Marmoush is set to become Eintracht’s latest sale for a significant fee. The 25-year-old joined the Hessen club on a free transfer in July 2023 after the player’s contract at Wolfsburg expired.

Marmoush’s first season at Eintracht yielded 12 goals and six assists in 29 league games, but the Egyptian has already surpassed that after just 17 games. The ~€80m that Eintracht will collect from Manchester City again highlights the club’s excellent recruitment and negotiating team.
