The venue for the 12 May announcement is still to be confirmed. It falls four days before the final Bundesliga matchday.

The final 26-man list is expected at the beginning of June, and all players in it should be drawn from a preliminary pool that could extend to 55.

Germany plan to begin their final preparations at a training camp in Herzogenaurach on 25 May.

They will then play Finland in Mainz, before facing co-hosts USA in Chicago as the final warm-up fixture.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side open their tournament against debutants Curaçao on 14 June in Houston. Germany went out at the group stage in successive tournaments after their 2014 triumph in Brazil.
