Real Madrid’s presidential election continues to dominate the early days of transfer rumors as Didier Deschamps has now commented on Michael Olise’s potential departure from FC Bayern. The Frenchman believed to be the player Florentino Perez promised to sign for the record Champions League winners in his duel with Enrique Riquelme.
"Olise knows very well whether he wants to stay at Bayern Munich or if he needs a change of scenery,” France’s head coach said in an interview with Marca. “There's no right or wrong choice. Obviously, if I were in Kompany's or the Bayern president's (Herbert Hainer's) shoes, him staying at Bayern would be very, very good.
“I imagine he might also receive offers from elsewhere. I'm not worried about him replicating what he does with Bayern or the French national team at other clubs. But if I say that, it doesn't benefit Bayern.”
The silver medalist in the Paris Olympics is preparing for his first major tournament with France. While he was on the front pages of transfer reports, the London-born winger started France’s penultimate friendly against the Ivory Coast on Thursday.
