According to Superdeporte, Diego López is a late withdrawal for Sunday’s derby at Levante, having suffered an injury in Saturday’s final training session in Paterna. He has been left out of the squad for the Ciutat.

His setback adds to Carlos Corberán’s growing absentee list. Copete is suspended, while Julen Agirrezabala, Thierry Rendall, Dimitri Foulquier and Arnaut Danjuma are injured. Academy player Rubo Iranzo is also out, and Mouctar Diakhaby no longer has a federation registration.

With López and Danjuma unavailable, Valencia lose both senior options for the left wing.

The right flank is similarly stripped, as Corberán is without all three natural right-backs, Thierry, Foulquier and Rubo.

Unai Núñez has been the solution worked on during the week in Paterna.
