Diniz recruit: Lucas Vergne accepts Corinthians offer and leaves Vasco | OneFootball

Lucas Vergne, Vasco's performance analysis coordinator, has accepted an offer from Corinthians and decided to leave the club.

According to Globo.com, the approach came after Fernando Diniz's coaching staff was agreed at Corinthians, and Vergne confirmed his decision on Wednesday. The financial package was considered irresistible by the analyst.

Diniz built a close working relationship with Vergne and requested his addition on arrival at Corinthians. Vergne has been at São Januário since 2017 and previously worked with Diniz during his first spell at Vasco in 2021.

He becomes the third member of Diniz's new staff, joining assistant Léo Porto and fitness coach Wagner Bertelli.

Separately, Diniz invited Bruno Lazaroni this week, but the permanent Vasco assistant declined and remains at São Januário.
