Vasco are pushing to sign Brenner and attempting to hijack a move for Hinestroza, but that does not necessarily signal Rayan’s exit.

According to Globo.com, Pedrinho’s administration recognises Rayan will be sold in 2026, either this window or the next, yet ideally wants him to stay at least until July. The club is aware of the player’s wish to move to Europe and is acting early in the market.

Keeping him until mid-year reflects the fact the main European window is not in January, so stronger offers could arrive later.

Vasco aim to have Brenner and Hinestroza alongside Rayan to manage a gradual transition to the post-Rayan attack and to avoid placing undue pressure on the two prospective arrivals.

A sale is expected to deliver a significant fee and, with recent purchases structured in instalments, the club sees value in lining up replacements ahead of time. Depending on the sums raised, they could still invest in another forward after Rayan is sold.

If Rayan is moved in the next window, the plan is to add one more attacker beyond Brenner and Hinestroza, most likely a back-up centre-forward. Should GB or Minete make clear progress in the meantime, the focus would switch to recruiting another winger.
