Ethan Nwaneri has officially signed a new deal with Arsenal, securing the future of one of the most promising teenagers in world football. His performances last season not only marked a personal breakthrough but also solidified his status as a key figure in the club’s long-term plans.

After years of development within the Arsenal academy, Nwaneri enjoyed his most productive season to date. Notably, Nwaneri has scored eight goals for Arsenal before turning 18, making him the joint highest teenage goal scorer for the club before that age, alongside John Radford, who achieved the same feat in 1962. His early debut remains one of the standout moments in Premier League history, as he became the youngest ever player to feature in the competition at 15 years and 181 days, making his debut in September 2022.

Young Star with More Milestones Ahead

In addition to his Premier League record, Nwaneri is currently the ninth youngest scorer in the league’s history. With eight goals before turning 18, he is only behind Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen, who each recorded nine at that age. He also made his mark in European competition, becoming the third youngest player to score in the knockout stages of the Champions League, with only Bojan and Jude Bellingham achieving that feat at a younger age. His goal against PSV came at just 17 years and 348 days old.
