According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Juventus will pay a fee of €4.5m to sign the 21-year-old on a straight loan deal until the end of the 2024-25 season. There will be no buy option included, so he will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign whatever happens.

Sky add that Chelsea will continue to cover the player’s salary for the duration of his loan spell.

Veiga is set to become the second defender to join Juventus in the January transfer window following the addition of Alberto Costa from Vitoria Guimaraes last week. The Bianconeri have been looking to add two defenders to their ranks following the long-term injuries to BRemer and Juan Cabal earlier in the campaign.

Juve are also set to announce the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG on Thursday. His move has now been ‘unlocked’ now that PSG have an agreement to sell Juan Bernat to Villarreal.
