Done Deals: Castro, Dovbyk, Amondarain and Diawara medicals for July 28 | OneFootball

Tuesday will be very busy with medicals for Santiago Castro at Roma, Artem Dovbyk and Mikel Amondarain for Bologna, and Sankhoun Diawara at Milan, while Monza signed Gustavo Varela today.

The Serie A transfer window is finally kicking into life with a series of done deals.

That includes a domino effect between Bologna and Roma, sparked by an exchange of strikers.

Castro swaps places with Dovbyk

As previously reported, an agreement was reached for Castro to join the Giallorossi at €35m plus add-ons and a 10 per cent cut of the future sale fee.

Going the other way is Ukraine international Dovbyk, who moves to Bologna on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Crucially, Bologna will pay the full salary during the loan experience.

Both players are expected to undergo medical tests on Tuesday.

Bologna are also going to welcome midfielder Amondarain, as Sportitalia report that Estudiantes have given him the all-clear to travel from Argentina for his medical.

The cost of that operation is €10m plus performance-related bonuses.

Milan have their doctors ready to examine defender Diawara, who arrives from Troyes at a cost of €3m plus a cut of the future sale fee, beating Glasgow Rangers to the deal.

There was an official transfer completed already today, as Monza signed 21-year-old striker Gustavo Varela from Benfica.
