Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has been left increasingly impressed by the efforts of long-term injury absentee Gavi in training of late.

The name of youngster Gavi has of course positioned itself back front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent weeks.

This comes after the 20-year-old was at long last given the green light to rejoin group activities with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

Gavi has been sidelined since late 2023, after suffering a torn ACL whilst lining out for Spain at international level.

The last couple of weeks in particular have seen the midfield starlet take significant steps forward in his recovery, now considered as increasingly close to marking his comeback.

And, amidst as much, Gavi already appears to have done enough to convince new manager Flick of his readiness to contribute.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The coach sees Gavi training every day and considers that he is already working alongside the rest of his teammates at a stratospheric level.’

So much so that, on occasion, Flick has been forced to jokingly request his engine room talent to ‘not go so hard’.
