Dortmund finalize a move for young goalkeeper | OneFootball

Sky Germany report Borussia Dortmund reach a total agreement with Ajax for the signing of the 23-year-old shot-stopper Diant Ramaj. The Stuttgart-born goalkeeper was previously at the ranks of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ajax spent €5 million when they signed him from Frankfurt, but he was unable to convince his coaches during his 18-month spell at Amsterdam. Francesco Farioli is currently playing 41-year-old Remko Pasveer as his starting goalkeeper. Dortmund will complete the signing for €5 million as Ramaj will be given a contract until 2029.

Ramaj will arrive in Dortmund later today to undergo his medical on Monday. As per Dortmund’s plans, he’ll then be loaned out to FC Copenhagen until the end of the current season. The Superliga leaders had Wolfsburg’s current goalkeeper Kamil Grabara when they reached the Champions League knockout stage last season.

The transfer has been linked with a potential summer departure by Gregor Kobel. At the start of this season, Liverpool made a similar signing last summer for the sought-after Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
