Dortmund: Sporting director reassures fans about Serhou Guirassy

Borussia Dortmund will likely be able to count on Serhou Guirassy for the upcoming Champions League clash against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday night.

The Guinean striker missed the match against FSV Mainz 05 (2-0) on Saturday after feeling pain in his thigh during warm-up. Sporting director Sebastian Kehl offered reassurance:

It's nothing serious. I'm very optimistic for Wednesday.

Guirassy had already taken a knock to his thigh in the previous match against VfL Wolfsburg (1-0). Coach Niko Kovač had then replaced him at the last minute with Julian Brandt. The Guinean forward remains the focal point of Dortmund's attack, especially in the Champions League, and his return is eagerly anticipated to help the team shine on the international stage.
