According to a recent report from Fichajes, Real Madrid have received two separate offers from Major League Soccer clubs in recent days, and both proposals involve senior first-team players.
As per the outlet, the MLS’s attention has turned to David Alaba and Dani Ceballos, two names who continue to generate debate at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As such, Charlotte FC are reportedly pushing hard to secure the Austrian defender and have placed a €1 million bid on the table.
On the surface, the figure appears modest, especially for a player of Alaba’s experience and pedigree. However, the context behind the proposal explains the valuation.
Alaba, also wanted in Turkey, remains under contract at Real Madrid until 2026, and Charlotte FC are keen for him to arrive ahead of the next MLS season to become the defensive leader of their project.
Notably, the defender earns around €22.5 million per season, which is a significant salary for a player whose minutes have been limited due to injuries and competition for places.

Freeing up that wage is becoming a priority for the club. While the transfer fee itself is low, the long-term financial relief makes Charlotte’s offer more appealing than it initially appears.
The second MLS proposal is more substantial and involves Dani Ceballos, with Austin FC having submitted a €9 million bid for the Spanish midfielder.
The 29-year-old has struggled to secure a consistent role at Real Madrid, with his time at the club defined by rotation and limited continuity.
For several seasons, a return to Real Betis seemed the most likely outcome. However, that option has cooled, and MLS is now emerging as a realistic alternative.
Austin FC want Ceballos to be the face of their sporting project, and that promise of importance and regular football could prove decisive in convincing the player.
