Bad news for Roma and the transfer market.
Artem Dovbyk will be sidelined for approximately two months due to the injury he sustained in recent days.
This is a much more dire prognosis than Roma initially reported.
Matteo Moretto reported the news, speaking of a long and inevitable layoff for the Ukrainian striker.
This is a significant blow for Gasperini, already struggling with a bare-bones attack, but also for Frederic Massara on the transfer market.
Dovbyk’s injury significantly complicates a possible departure in January: with such a long recovery time, finding a club willing to invest or initiate a deal becomes extremely difficult.
The injury therefore changes the situation. While until a few days ago, the possibility of a transfer wasn’t ruled out, the priority now will be the player’s recovery, as he risks not returning until the spring.
This is yet another problem for Roma, who are called upon to strengthen their attack but are now also forced to deal with a significant and prolonged absence.
