Leeds United’s prospective Premier League line-up for next season has been sketched out, contingent on key targets being secured to build on last term’s 14th-place finish.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Harry Wilson has signed a four-year deal after leaving Fulham, finally arriving 10 months after a collapsed deadline-day move. Pascal Struijk has joined Brighton, and Leeds took a significant step towards replacing him on Tuesday night.
Leeds still need a clear first-choice goalkeeper and are keen to bolster central midfield, with competition sought across the squad. James Trafford is admired and, if he leaves Manchester City, could be a major addition at Elland Road.
Joe Rodon remains a defensive mainstay, with only Ethan Ampadu playing more Premier League minutes last season. He has already bid farewell to promotion-winning partner Struijk.
Jaka Bijol eventually seized his chance and settled impressively into the central centre-back role, regularly overpowering opposing strikers.
Leeds have agreed a £34m deal for 23-year-old Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic, who is on course to replace Struijk. He is front-footed and brings another imposing physical presence at the back.
At right-back, Jayden Bogle enjoyed a strong return to the Premier League with 32 starts, bettered by only three teammates. James Justin could come in when greater defensive solidity is required.
