Brazil women lost 1-0 to the United States at Arena Castelão in Fortaleza in the second friendly, with Corinthians’ Duda Sampaio coming on and Thaís Ferreira unused.
The midfielder replaced Angelina at 25 minutes of the second half with Brazil already behind. According to Meu Timao, she had limited involvement after her introduction.
On Saturday, Brazil won 2-1, when Sampaio and Ferreira both started alongside goalkeeper Lelê. The goalkeeper was withdrawn with thigh pain and was unavailable for the rematch, something Arthur Elias had already indicated.
In that first friendly, Lelê and Thaís Ferreira played until 33 minutes of the second half, while Duda Sampaio completed the full match.
Arthur Elias has also called seven further Corinthians players for training in Itu from 15 to 20 June, in the São Paulo interior. They are goalkeepers Nicole Ramos and Ana Morganti, right-back/forward Ivana Fuso, midfielders Andressa Alves and Ana Vitória, and forwards Jaqueline and Jhonson.
The trio now begin a holiday period with the rest of the squad from 10 to 24 June, returning on 25 June. They will then have three weeks to prepare for Corinthians’ next game, at home to Ferroviária on 17 July in the fourth round of the Paulistão Feminino.
