Paulo Dybala will remain at Roma; that much is now a given.

The Argentine star, as desired by Gian Piero Gasperini, will continue his career in the capital, hoping to showcase his best side more consistently.

Only one final detail remains to be finalized on the extension, as the new contract has yet to reach agent Carlos Novel.

The parties have reached an agreement, but after lengthy negotiations, the bureaucratic process now remains to be seen: the documents are in the hands of Roma’s lawyers, who are busy finalizing every clause, from the contract duration to bonuses, to the unilateral option that will allow the club to extend the deal for another year.

Dybala managed to secure a slightly higher salary to compensate for the one-year term of his new contract, with an option for a second season, which hadn’t fully convinced him.

As Corriere dello Sport reports, the financial agreement has been slightly improved, combining a fixed fee and bonuses to rebalance negotiations that dragged on longer than expected.

Dybala will return to Rome the day after tomorrow with his family, and the goal is to arrive at Trigoria on Monday for the training camp with his contract already signed and his focus solely on the pitch and the season in which he will return to the Champions League.

The Argentine star hopes to have a starring year and put behind him a season in which he struggled to be available to Gasperini. Only the final step remains: receiving the contract, reading it, signing it, and sending it back to Trigoria.
