Newcastle boss has ben mentioned as a potential replacement for Ruben Amorim should Man Utd part company with the Portuguese tactician
Eddie Howe has said he is 100 percent committed to Newcastle amid talk of becoming the next Manchester United manager.
Ruben Amorim is reportedly under immense pressure at Old Trafford as a result of a poor start to the season.
Man Utd have picked up just seven points from their opening six games, with their two wins thus far coming against newly-promoted Burnley and a Chelsea side that were reduced to ten-men after five minutes.
In addition, the Red Devils were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in embarrassing fashion to League Two Grimsby, leading to suggestions that Amorim’s job is not safe.
Should United - who face Sunderland in the Premier League this weekend - decide to part ways with Amorim, then reports claim Howe has been identified as a possible replacement.
However, the Newcastle boss insists he has no plans to leave St James’ Park.
Speaking ahead of his side’s fixture at home to Nottingham Forest, Howe said: "I'm all in (at Newcastle). My commitment here is 100% here and always has been.
“My family is still here, and we are fighting every day to make a success of what we are doing.
"The season ahead could be a wonderful thing, and that is what we are trying to focus on, trying to make a success of the games we have coming up."
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is said to be the favourite if a vacancy at Man United emerges, while Gareth Southgate is also said to be in the running along with Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola.
