Eddie Howe returns to the RVI to thank them – A must watch | OneFootball

A whirlwind period of time for Eddie Howe.

It is still less that two months ago when the Newcastle United main man led the club to their first major trophy in 56 years.

Since that comprehensive victory over Liverpool at Wembley, Eddie Howe has seen his team play eight Premier League matches, winning six, drawing one and losing just one. Those 19 points from a possible 24 have put Newcastle United on the verge of Champions League qualification with only two games remaining.

Away from the drama of Newcastle United and football, Eddie Howe had a real health scare.

Having to be taken into the RVI Hospital and having an extended stay due to pneumonia.

The best possible news on Eddie Howe came on 24 April 2025, when an official club announcement (see below) revealed that that the Head Coach was not only out of hospital but had also been able to return to work.

Difficult to believe that was only 20 days ago.

Newcastle United fans love Eddie Howe, not just because he is a brilliant manager, but also due to how he represents both club and fans at all times.

When you have had plenty who haven’t done that, the exceptions like Eddie Howe, it makes you treasure them all the more.
