Eduardo Camavinga is a doubt for Real Madrid’s home meeting with Getafe on Monday after suffering a toothache. Diario AS reports that the midfielder missed Sunday’s training session and required dental treatment. The match offers Los Blancos a chance to cut the gap to Barcelona to one point after their 2-1 defeat at Osasuna.
Alvaro Arbeloa is already without Kylian Mbappe because of a knee problem, and Jude Bellingham, Raul Asencio, Eder Militao and Dani Ceballos are also sidelined.
Camavinga has been a regular since Arbeloa switched to a 4-4-2, so his potential absence would be a fresh blow.
There was a lift on Sunday as Dean Huijsen returned for part of the session. The defender has been dealing with a calf issue in recent weeks, and the Getafe game may still come too soon for him.
Huijsen’s progress is timely, with Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba the only fit centre-backs available for Monday. The pair are likely to start, but a four-day turnaround before Celta Vigo on Friday makes another outing together at Balaidos a risk, with Manchester City visiting the Bernabeu the following midweek for the Champions League Round of 16 first leg.
Whether Camavinga and Huijsen make the squad remains unclear, and Real Madrid will hope to ease their injury concerns.
