Eintracht Frankfurt board-member-for-sport Markus Krösche remained in a dour mood after Tuesday evening’s Champions League elimination. The chief personnel executive for the Bundesliga club has been known for chastising his team for every last disappointing result since play resumed at the turn of the 2026 calendar year. 

Krösche’s previous post-match statements led to Get German Football News correctly auguring that previous head coach Dino Toppmöller would be sacked this weekend. The 45-year-old administrator continues to sing the same tune. Krösche railed against the current defensive state of the SGE whilst speaking in the mixed zone in Baku.

Krösche outlines Eintracht Frankfurt problems again

“We still keep making the same mistakes we’ve been making in the last few weeks,” Krösche noted. “That robbed us of the victory. There’s a very deep valley that we must all traverse together now. We naturally didn’t envision it working out this way. Now we simply have to concentrate on the Bundesliga.

“Of course,” Krösche was sure to add. “We still want to win next week against Tottenham regardless.”

“We must take advantage of our limited training time to work on our errors via video analysis,” Krösche continued a short while later. “One can tell that the lads’ mental condition lacks confidence and assuredness. That’s why we keep making the same mistakes over and over again.“
