Eintracht Frankfurt are closing in on a deal for Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge, with their latest bid near the Belgian side’s valuation. Bild reports the move would mark a second marquee addition in central midfield.

The Eagles saw their first two offers rejected, but talks have progressed as the gap narrows. The Champions League regulars want €10 million, while Frankfurt are working around €8 million, with the price down from €30 million last year because his contract expires next summer.

The report adds the player has a full agreement in place with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Adi Hütter’s side completed their first marquee signing on Saturday, bringing in midfielder Noel Aseko from Bayern for around €13 million.

Onyedika made 42 appearances for Club Brugge last season. The Nigerian joined from Midtjylland in 2022 for a reported €9.5 million.

Fellow Nigerian Jay-Jay Okocha remains a fan favourite in Frankfurt after a four-year spell early in his career.
