Needing to turn around a 2-0 deficit to holders PSG tonight at Anfield, Arne Slot rolled the dice and started Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike together for just the second time.
Like their first outing, it ended quickly as an apparent curse struck once more.

With less than 30 minutes on the clock, Ekitike went down after looking to control ball but seemingly slipping on the wet surface.
The young French forward was stretchered off clutching his achilles in a very worrying sight for club and country as well as the player ahead of the World Cup.
In their previous outing together, Liverpool's new "big three" lasted just 45 minutes before Isak came off. The club-record signing has lasted just a half tonight too with his fitness not yet right after his leg break.
Mohamed Salah came on for the stricken Ekitike and will likely be required to pull off one more miracle act in red if they are to have any chance of qualifying for the Champions League semi-finals.
