According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Elland Road was full on Saturday as Leeds supporters gathered to honour Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight. The pair were murdered in Istanbul 26 years ago.
Chairman Paraag Marathe and managing director Robbie Evans laid wreaths at the memorial plaque outside Elland Road.
A minute’s applause followed before kick-off.
During the match, home fans turned their backs on the action, reflecting the gesture from that night, repeated annually since.
On the pitch, Leeds drew 0-0 with Brentford.
Supporters travelled from far and wide to back Leeds and, above all, to remember Chris and Kev. It was the final Elland Road fixture before the 5 April anniversary of their deaths.
