Elye Wahi has been called up by Côte d'Ivoire for the first time for March friendlies, as Émerse Faé refreshes his squad. Simon Adingra returns, while Nicolas Pépé is left out.

L'Équipe reports that Faé named a 25-man group on Wednesday for South Korea on 28 March at 15:00, then Scotland on 31 March at 21:30.

Wahi, 23, the former France Under-21 forward with 13 caps and three goals, is on loan at Nice from Eintracht Frankfurt. Strasbourg's Martial Godo is also included after scoring seven Ligue 1 goals this season.

Most of the defence and midfield remain, aside from Metz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin. Up front, Wilfried Zaha, Jean-Philippe Krasso and the injured Sébastien Haller, who were at January's AFCON, are missing.

Adingra is back after missing the tournament staged in Morocco, whereas Pépé remains out with the 2026 World Cup three months away.
