Paul Pogba's return to competitive football was meant to signal a new dawn. Signed by AS Monaco after a lengthy 18-month suspension, the French midfielder hoped to reignite his career on the Rock.

But reality has turned out quite differently. Plagued by recurring injuries and a lack of match fitness, Pogba has managed to play only three games in his new colors. Recently, he was even dropped from the Champions League squad—a clear sign of his precarious situation.

According to journalist Nicolò Schira, an early contract termination—despite being valid until June 2027—is on the table for this summer. Such a split would mark a clear failure for both parties. Before Monaco, clubs from the United States and Saudi Arabia had shown interest. The question now is whether those options will come back into play.
