WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from The Football Association this morning.
Liverpool defender Fisk comes in as a direct replacement for Arsenal’s Leah Williamson who is unavailable due to an ongoing hamstring injury. The 28-year-old has been in and around the England senior squad for the last couple of years but is yet to make her debut for the Lionesses.
Brighton & Hove Albion keeper Baggaley also returns to the England squad as she pursues her first senior international cap. The 29-year-old was previously on standby for England’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 squad. Baggaley has been drafted in following concerns over the fitness of Manchester City keeper Khiara Keating. It has been confirmed that Keating will miss the first game of the upcoming international window due to concussion protocols, although she could be cleared to be named in the squad for the second game.
England complete their FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 qualifying campaign with fixtures against Spain in Palma on Friday 5 June 2026 and against Ukraine at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, home of Everton FC, on Tuesday 9 June 2026. England top their group after four rounds of matches and will secure automatic qualification for the tournament should they remain in pole position.
