English duo Angel Gomes and CJ Egan-Riley could leave Marseille in January. According to L’Équipe, with the World Cup coming up, Gomes’ entourage are open to a move six months after his arrival, and Egan-Riley could follow.

Gomes, 25, joined on a free after refusing to renew at Lille, where he became an England international in his final season.

Since arriving at the Vélodrome, he has not established himself as first choice. He has yet to start in the Champions League and, despite 12 Ligue 1 starts, has not been used as a substitute in the last two.

Egan-Riley, 22, also signed on a free in the summer after his Burnley contract expired.

He has similarly struggled for minutes, featuring for only 15 minutes of football since the November international break.
