Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca removed his midfielder Enzo Fernandez at half time last night in their 8-0 win against Noah.

This left fans wondering whether the Argentine international had then picked up an injury, hence the reason he went off.

EXCLUSIVE! Agents are touting a couple of big name Chelsea players to other clubs!

Chelsea were cruising at 6-0 up after going on an absolute rout against the Armenian minnows in what was just a total mis-match of quality between the two teams. Chelsea have no business at all being in the Europa Conference League!

But that is where they are at after a tough few seasons, and they have to take it seriously and go all out to win it. And unfortunately for teams like Noah, they are going to be on the receiving end of this.

To be honest though, the way their manager set them up did them no favours at all and actually made it much worse for them. They were so open and too attacking, and this is why Chelsea destroyed them with so many goals.

Fernandez injured?

Fernandez was great last night

Fernandez, who had a good half and set up a number of the early goals for Chelsea, was then taken off at half time as Chelsea were comfortably ahead.

So why did he go off? Was he injured?

Maresca replied in his post-match press conference last night via Football London:

“He’s okay. It was just a technical decision. No more than that, he is okay.”

So no injury, and I guess it was just a chance to get other players on the pitch and to get some minutes seeing as we were winning the game so easily.

Or maybe it was a decision with Sunday in his thinking? Perhaps he might be looking to either start Fernandez against Arsenal or give him a chunk of minutes off the bench? Probably the latter.
