Maresca under mounting pressure with his future at Stamford Bridge in doubt
Enzo Maresca is at risk of being sacked by Chelsea if their results do not improve in the next few weeks.
Maresca is under mounting pressure after Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth left the Blues with only one win from their last seven Premier League matches.
Chelsea have won just two of their eight matches in December across all competitions and were booed off by a section of fans at Stamford Bridge after the Bournemouth game.
That result left Chelsea fifth in the Premier League, 15 points behind leaders Arsenal.

Unhappy Chelsea fans made their feeling clear and Maresca faced chants of “you don't know what you're doing” when he substituted Cole Palmer against Bournemouth.
Maresca’s assistant coach Willy Caballero conducted post-match media duties after the Bournemouth match, claiming the Italian felt too unwell to speak to the press himself.
Standard Sport understands that the BlueCo consortium which runs Chelsea is concerned about their dip in form and will give serious consideration to parting ways with Maresca if performances and results have not improved by the end of January.
Chelsea play nine matches in a busy January period, starting on Sunday when they play Manchester City at the Etihad.
Maresca is understood to harbour some uneasiness about some of the ways the club is run, and he made this known when he admitted in a press conference that the period after the 2-1 defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League on December 9 had been the “worst 48 hours” of his tenure because he and his players had not felt “supported”.
