Eren Dinkçi could be in line for a Werder Bremen return if his former club decide to make a move.

DeichStube reports that he is intent on returning to SV Werder Bremen, that initial talks have already taken place with his representatives, and that Freiburg would look to recoup the €5 million they paid around 18 months ago.

He wants to be closer to his family and is not comfortable in Breisgau, though a switch to Werder is currently considered unlikely.

Werder have taken Jovan Milosevic on loan from VfB Stuttgart and have temporarily paused further transfer activity.

Three Bundesliga clubs, 1. FC Köln, VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Heidenheim, have also expressed interest in the SC Freiburg attacker.

The Bremen native spent a year on loan at Heidenheim before completing his move to Freiburg in summer 2024.
